It’s a Good Problem to Have

Has it really been nearly two months since I posted anything here? Wow! My consulting work has taken off dramatically over the last 6 weeks or so and I’ve been busy doing paid work; blogging and creating free stuff just had to take a back seat for a while. Sorry guys.

So what have I been up to? I’ve been doing lots of work involving 3D PDF, Flash in PDF, and 3D plus Flash in PDF. Once the dust settles and my clients ship the products that I’ve been working on, I’ll be able to tell you more. Until then, there are non-disclosure agreements and I have to keep my mouth shut. Those of you who know me in real life know that’s not easy for me; I get excited when I’m working on something cool.

During the time I’ve had left to “play”, I’ve been working on a new Portfolio layout. It’s not quite done yet but I’ve posted a preview below. Take a look. This one should be ready in the next week or so.

I’m also working on a new article about Windows 8 and my thoughts on it’s impact on Adobe Reader. If you haven’t downloaded the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, you should. It can read PDF files natively now; the impact of this on the Acrobat business and the future of PDF in general cannot be calculated… yet somehow, I’m going to try to do just that… or at least offer my perspective. Stay tuned.
